This section allows you to configure backup settings.
- Expand Configuration backup settings.
- Click on Add Configuration backup.
- Expand Configuration backup [1].
Within this section, the following fields are available by default: Enabled, Backup destination, and Vault backup settings.
Enabled #
Configuration backup [1] > Enabled
Defines whether configuration backup is in use.
- Yes (default): Enables saving the configuration backup to the selected destination.
- No: Disables saving the configuration backup.
Backup destination #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination
Choose where the configuration backup will be stored.
- Vault (default): Configuration backup will be stored in a specified class within the vault. When selected, the Vault backup settings are available for further configuration.
- Disk: The configuration backup will be stored in a specified path on the disk. When selected, the Disk backup settings are available for further configuration.
- NamedValueStorage: The configuration backup will be stored in a specified Named Value Storage in the vault (Unitfly.ExtensionKit.VAF.VaultApplication.Insights). When selected, the NVS backup settings are available for further configuration.
Vault backup settings #
Displayed only when Backup Destination is set to Vault.
These settings specify how the backup is stored in the vault.
Object Type #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Vault > Vault backup settings > Object type
Displayed when Backup destination is Vault.
Specifies the object type of the destination backup object. Select from a list of available object types within a particular vault. The object types are referenced by a GUID, ID or alias.
Class #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Vault > Vault backup settings > Class
Displayed when Backup destination is Vault.
Specifies the class of the destination backup object. Select from a list of classes within a specified object type. The classes are referenced by a GUID, ID, alias or external ID.
M-Files user #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Vault > Vault backup settings > M-Files user
Displayed when Backup destination is Vault.
Property to set the user who made the last configuration change. Select from the list of properties within the vault. The properties are referenced by a GUID, ID or alias.
Backup files retention #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Vault > Vault backup settings > Backup files retention
Specifies the maximum age, in days, for keeping the backup files. Set the value to zero (0) to not remove files based on age. The default value is 30 days.
Disk backup settings #
Displayed only when Backup Destination is set to Disk.
These settings configure how the backup is saved to disk.
Folder path #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Disk > Disk backup settings > Folder path
Displayed when Backup destination is Disk.
Specifies the absolute path to the folder where the backup files will be stored.
Backup files retention #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Disk > Disk backup settings > Backup files retention
Specifies the maximum age, in days, for keeping the backup files. Set the value to zero (0) to not remove files based on age. The default value is 30 days.
Use authentication #
Configuration backup [1] > Backup destination: Disk > Disk backup settings > Use authentication
Displayed when Backup destination is Disk.
Specifies the user account for authentication.
- Yes: If selected, the Authentication section opens up for further configuration.
- No (default)
Authentication #
Displayed only when Use Authentication is set to Yes.
This section contains fields for authentication: Domain, Username, and Password.
NVS backup settings #
Displayed only when Backup Destination is set to NamedValueStorage.
These settings configure how the backup is stored in Named Value Storage.
Backup files retention #
Specifies the maximum age, in days, for keeping the backup files. Set the value to zero (0) to not remove files based on age. The default value is 30 days.
