What Is Extension Kit #
Extension Kit for M-Files is a no-code add-on that offers a powerful set of functionalities that enhance the implementation and usage of M-Files. It is developed with years of experience and knowledge in M-Files, as well as with a keen understanding of customer requirements and objectives for efficient content management.
As a Vault Application Framework (VAF) application, Extension Kit is installed to a vault as any other M-Files add-on.
Comprising over 20 modules accessible through the M-Files Admin tool, Extension Kit offers various extended M-Files capabilities configurable without the need for custom development, ensuring that the M-Files implementations are less prone to errors. Through the enhanced quality of implementation, faster configuration, and additional functionalities, Extension Kit elevates the overall M-Files experience.
How Extension Kit Works #
Extension Kit works on a trigger-action principle, meaning it is based on actions that are triggered by events in M-Files. It supports reacting to the following events (triggers):
- Object created
- Object changed
- Object metadata changed
- Object changed state
- Object entered state
- Object left state
- On comment
- Scheduled
- RunOnce
- Orchestrated
To create a trigger-based action, Extension Kit users configure rules within a particular module, specifying trigger events in M-Files, additional conditions for rule activation, and actions that will happen as a result.
