Hello everyone,
In the Object Creation module, we use a template with versioning governed by duplicate detection and the "overwrite" setting for duplicate object behavior. When a template is versioned and the Object Creation rule is rerun, the version of the template applied is the one originally used when the object was first created. As a result, an outdated version of the template is used instead of the new one.
For each newly created object, the most recent version of the template is employed.
Moreover, when a new object is created, the latest template version is utilized as expected. However, if an existing object is subsequently versioned, an older version of the template is reused. This indicates that the Object Creation module employs various versions of the template.
This is a critical problem for our customer and we would be very happy if we could get quick support.
Kind regards
Steve
am I understanding correctly, you are using FromTemplate as new object type to create new objects? How do you reference your template then, as static objec/reference on source, etc?
Copy of your rule configuration would be helpful here.
Thanks,
Antonia
Yes, we use templates to create new objects. We use the static template configuration.
Attached you'll find the configuration.
Hi Antonia
Have you any new information?
Regards
Steve
Hi Steve,
sorry for the delay. I have checked and static reference is always getting he latest object version it can see from vault.
What I am curious about then is how is this versioning done and related to object creation? It could be that this version is not yet fully committed to vault when object creation starts, and so it only sees the previous version of template. Is it versioning done using EK versioning module? If so, can you send me this configuration as well?
Thanks,
Antonia
