[Solved] Is it possible to concatenate properties and then extract the first x characters from the concatenated string?

Topic starter

The customer wants to use a combination of Address and City as object name when creating a Case object. The Case will be transferred to an external system in which the name field is restricted to 50 characters. This is often less than the length of the concatenated string. Therefor we need to use Regex or similar to extract the first 50 characters from the concatenated string.

The challenge can be solved by concatenating the property values in a third property and then using that third property as input for a regex function. However, I wonder if that can be done in a single operation without creating that third property?

Yes, you can nest multiple expressions in the Extended Auto Properties module.
I'm attaching an example of how to do that.
